Duties:  ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Supervises and evaluates center staff (Supervising Teachers, Head Teachers, Teachers, Center Secretaries, Health & Social Service Workers, Cooks, Custodians, Housekeepers, Custodian/Housekeepers and volunteers) at assigned CCCDS sites. 2. Must maintain confidentiality. 3. Must conduct regular center meetings. 4. Submits monthly staff meeting agendas, sign-in sheets and minutes. 5. Conducts on-site monthly Case Conferencing meetings. 6. Selects safety committee member, must assure attendance at the monthly staff meetings. Responsible to provide safety training at monthly staff meetings. 7. Must conduct orientation for all new staff, volunteers and parents as needed. 8. Responsible to review and approve family’s eligibility and health files to assure that all required documentation is in order. 9. Participates, coordinates and assists with the annual on-site self-reviews to assure program compliance. Submits a corrective Plan of Action to meet deadlines as required. 10. Responsible to disseminate information to all center staff. 11. Must assist and provide training to teachers in areas required to assure program compliance (example: lesson planning, Child’s Education file, IEP process for individual children, classroom environments, etc.) 12. Assures that required adult/child ratios are maintained in all classrooms. 13. Maintains and submits all needed records, reports and other documentation to meet deadlines as required. 14. Reviews all component statistics on a monthly basis to insure program compliance. Must review and submit to meet deadlines as required. These include, but are not limited: In-Kind/non-Federal share documentation, daily attendance, enrollment, assessment, IEP, PIR documentation and home visits. 15. Responsible for on-site monitoring and to complete all necessary follow-up to assure program compliance. 16. Must work cooperatively, respectfully and effectively with all staff, visitors, consultants and families to assure that comprehensive services are provided to children and families within the required time frames. 17. Responsible to coordinate and assure that nutritional, psychological and speech pathologist services are provided and documented as required to meet time frames. 18. Participates in the interviewing process for recommending qualified candidates for employment. 19. Must consistently be supportive of the agency and its policies. 20. Must have consistent and regular attendance. 21. Must demonstrate ability to work well with others. 22. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:  Experience: • Minimum of three (3) years experience as a preschool teacher. • Minimum of one (1) year experience as a supervisor in a preschool program preferable. • Some experience in infant/toddler care is desirable. Education Requirements: • BA/BS degree in Child Development or related field required. • Minimum of six (6) semester units in Supervision and/or Administration. • Minimum of three (3) semester units in Infant/Toddler Development. • California Matrix Site Supervisor Permit. • Community CPR and Pediatric First Aid certificate required. • Fifteen (15) hours of training in preventative health practices.
