Credit Clerk Part Time M-W-F / 8-5:00 $14-$15 per hour Modesto, CA
Duties:  HIS PART-TIME POSITION WILL AVERAGE 24 HOURS WEEKLY New Account Credit Set-Up: Reviews new account information, to ensure that they are complete and contain all necessary information necessary to perform credit check. Ensures that tax identification numbers are valid and in effect in an effort to avoid unnecessary tax assessments. Responsible for issuing welcome letters to new accounts, describing terms, policies, etc. Responsibilities: Responsible for performing complete investigation on new accounts and adding the new accounts via the AS400. Responsible for entering new account information into the new account log and Salesforce 360. Maintaining the credit files and the filing of all new account application. Responsible for the online filing of UCC liens on high risk accounts.
Qualifications:  Qualifications: Good working knowledge of credit forms and general finance terminology and concepts. Familiarization with credit analysis techniques in terms of contractual guidelines, interdepartmental communications related to credit activities, reports associated with the credit function and basic bookkeeping practices. Must possess excellent computer skills and have a working knowledge of programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel. Demonstrated ability to plan and organize your own work activities; analyze and disseminate numerical data; manage work time efficiently; follow procedures and policies; perform basic mathematical calculations; identify and solve problems; maintain a file system to include alphabetical, numerical, and chronological filing activities. Must possess excellent interpersonal, communication, business writing, grammar and verbal communication skills. Must be able to manage the pressures and stress associated with a deadline-oriented atmosphere and customer service issues. Must have High School diploma or equivalent While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk and hear. The employee may have to lift up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities that may be required by this job include close vision and distance vision. Duties:  Project Sentinel and the Stanislaus County Mediation Center are non-profit organizations. Our primary function is to assist individuals with housing problems such as discrimination and rental issues including repairs, deposits, privacy, and dispute resolution. We are looking for an intern to work 10-12 ours in our Modesto office, providing administrative and outreach support in our landlord-tenant department and fair housing (housing discrimination) department. Tasks will include preparing mailings, preparing and distributing outreach materials, limited telephone contact with clients and volunteers, and file organization.
Qualifications:  Microsoft Office proficiency, computer literate on Windows OS, good communication skills, an interest in law/social work/non-profit client services, a strong work ethic, flexibility, and ability to adhere to strict confidentiality requirements. Language skills preferred, with a particular preference for applicants who speak Hmong, Spanish, Arabic, Punjabi, or Hindi.
