Qualifications:  Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent. Prior experience working on Light Rail Vehicles or related equipment is highly desirable. Duties:  Who is 3FIA? Three Forests Interpretive Association (3FIA) is a non-profit educational organization that assists visitors in understanding and appreciating unique resources within the Stanislaus, Sierra, and Sequoia National Forests. Founded in 1972, 3FIA seeks to enhance the public’s understanding of the history, natural resources, recreational and commercial uses of the National Forests. What is a Conservation Education & Interpretation Internship? Stanislaus National Forest provides educational and safety programs at campgrounds, recreation areas, and schools. Calaveras District offers summer programs at Lake Alpine and at WakaLuu Hep Yoo Campground. This intern will learn how to assist Stanislaus National Forest staff host guest speakers, present Junior Ranger Programs, provide educational programs, and lead nature hikes. Where is this internship? Calaveras Ranger District Office of Stanislaus National Forest is located at Hathaway Pines, CA. It is located south of Arnold, CA on Highway 4. The Lake Alpine Barracks are located, just off Highway 4, between the turnoffs for Bear Valley Ski Area and Lake Alpine Recreation Area. The barracks are shared with Forest Service employees, and do not have internet access or cable TV. This intern will primarily be assisting with programs at the Lake Alpine and WakaLuu Hep Yoo Campgrounds.
Qualifications:  Must be 18 years of age or older and have a driver license.
