Duties:  Project Sentinel and the Stanislaus County Mediation Center are non-profit organizations. Our primary function is to assist individuals with housing problems such as discrimination and rental issues including repairs, deposits, privacy, and dispute resolution. We are looking for an intern to work 10-12 ours in our Modesto office, providing administrative and outreach support in our landlord-tenant department and fair housing (housing discrimination) department. Tasks will include preparing mailings, preparing and distributing outreach materials, limited telephone contact with clients and volunteers, and file organization.
Qualifications:  Microsoft Office proficiency, computer literate on Windows OS, good communication skills, an interest in law/social work/non-profit client services, a strong work ethic, flexibility, and ability to adhere to strict confidentiality requirements.
